HOW TO READ MY ARTWORK

 HOW TO READ MY ARTWORK

To read my work of art, detach yourself from the figure, I do not paint figures, but moments and feelings in colors and gestures, which, with the help of the name of the work, elucidate the proposed theme of what I portray on the canvas.

As an Abstractionist Lyrical painter, I also use gestures in spatulate and brush strokes, in a peculiar composition created by me, where the quadrants determine, together with the colors, what is Emotional, Spiritual, Rational and Material, as you will see in the didactic chart below.

I use the theory of colors and their meaning according to psychology, their mental and emotional triggers in analogy to human feelings, to express a feeling, a moment in my canvases, I use metaphorical titles that reflect passages, rites and times in human life. My art is subjective and depends on a certain knowledge to understand it. I compare my works with classical instrumental music, where the instruments are the gestures on the screen, the melody, the colors and the composition, and the whole set of work is a score.

I hope you enjoy reading my work.

   ABSTRACT ART LYRIC GESTURE ABSTRACTIONISM

The  abstract art  or  abstraction  is generally understood as a form of  art  (especially in the  visual arts ) is not proper objects of our  reality  exterior concrete. Instead, it uses the formal relationships between colors, lines and surfaces to compose the reality of the work, in a "non-representational" way. It comes from the experiences of European avant-garde, who refuse the inheritance  renaissance  of  art academies in other words, the Greco-Roman aesthetics. The expression can also be used to refer specifically to art produced in the early  20th century. by certain movements and schools that generically fit into  modern art .

In the early 20th century, before artists reached   absolute abstraction , the term was also used to refer to schools such as  Cubism  and  Futurism  that, although representative and figurative, sought to synthesize the elements of natural reality, resulting in works that escaped the simple imitation of what was "concrete".

Abstractionism is divided into two trends:

·          Lyrical , expressive or informal abstractionism ;

·          Geometric abstractionism .

Lyrical abstractionism, or expressive abstractionism, drew on instinct, the unconscious and intuition to construct an imaginary art linked to an "inner need"; having been influenced by expressionism, more specifically in Der  Blaue Reiter  . It appears as a reaction to the great revolutions of the 20th century, namely the First World War.

The play of organic shapes and vibrant colors were very conspicuous; but also the contour line stood out in this distinctly non-figurative art. He was looking for an approach to music, where the expressiveness of sounds was transformed into artistic language. This is how lyrical abstractionism seeks to equal or even surpass music, transforming patches of color and lines into subjective ideas and symbolism.
